I’m finding that I am a bit timid on pulling the trigger on trades lately.. maybe due to stats keeping? Not sure, but something I need to work on.
E-mini S&P 500 Futures (@ES)
First chart below shows levels I had for today’s session and the second chart below shows today’s price action.
Original plan was to buy a dip for a move higher towards 2810 and possibly higher off of 92/94 area, but the opening action told me otherwise. I was this close to getting long on the opening price action but couldn’t pull the trigger… bias issue? Not sure, but I should have taken the trade.
Then, once price couldn’t go higher at 2803/2805, I should have gone short as I was stalking that trade opportunity.. but I didn’t get short until 3 points lower. Bad spot to get short I think as price had already proven that level as support on the session. I was looking for the 92/94 area as a target but the bad entry had me nervous for the trade and ended up closing it way too soon.
Major update to stats coming tomorrow as I will be moving over to Tradervue for stats tracking (https://www.tradervue.com/). I think that Tradervue will be a tremendous help in getting real results with my stats.
Day’s PnL: $112.50
See the trade, take the trade.
